## Submitting an expense

Keep the receipt for a business expense. Submit the receipt, purchase date, amount and business purpose in the example expense form. Submit within **5 business days** of the purchase.

Ask your example manager if you do not know whether an expense is approved. Do not invent a spending limit or approval on the company's behalf. If a receipt is missing, explain the gap and ask the example finance team what to provide.

Your manager reviews the request before the example finance team processes it. A submitted request is not a promise of reimbursement.

## Review question
