How to use NotebookLM Import

  1. Step 01

    Download the Audio Overview

    In NotebookLM (now Gemini Notebook), open the notebook and download the Audio Overview file.

  2. Step 02

    Import it into Jellypod

    Open a podcast, choose Import from NotebookLM under Create New Episode, pick two hosts, and drop in the MP3, WAV, or M4A file. Jellypod transcribes it and maps each speaker onto a host.

  3. Step 03

    Edit, revoice, and publish

FAQ

How do I get a transcript of a NotebookLM podcast?
NotebookLM has no script view for an Audio Overview. Download the audio, import it into Jellypod, and it transcribes the file and splits the speakers into an editable script. Export it as a .txt file from the script editor menu, or, once the episode is published, use Download Transcript for a .txt transcript or .srt captions.
Does importing publish the episode?
No. The import creates a draft episode with an editable script and starts generating the audio in your hosts’ voices. Nothing goes live until you publish it yourself.
Which files can I import?
MP3, WAV, or M4A, up to 30 minutes of audio. Any recording works, not only NotebookLM. Trim longer files before you import them.
What happens to the speakers?
The detected speakers are mapped onto the two hosts you pick, in the order they first speak. If the audio has more than two voices, the extra speakers cycle back onto those two hosts, and you can reassign any speech block in the script editor.
Can I publish a NotebookLM podcast to Spotify?
Not from NotebookLM, because it has no RSS feed. Import the Audio Overview into Jellypod, generate it in your hosts’ voices, and publish it to your podcast’s RSS feed, which you submit once to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
