What is a microcast?

Microcasts (or "micro podcasts") are short podcast series about one big idea. Instead of one long episode, the topic is split into five to ten episodes of about five minutes each, and each one picks up where the last ended, like chapters in a book.

Our own show Empires tells the story of Rome in ten episodes of about six minutes, from the last king walking out to the empire that lasted. Jellypod planned the outline from one prompt, then wrote and voiced every episode in order.

How do I make a microcast?
Open a podcast, click Generate a Multi-Episode Series, and describe the idea. Pick the number of episodes and a shared length, then click Create Outline. Jellypod plans every episode, and you can edit, delete, or change the length of any of them before you create the batch.
How many episodes can a microcast have?
The outline planner plans up to 8 episodes. Ask for a series directly in the episode composer and Jellypod can generate up to 10.
Do the episodes build on each other?
Yes. Scripts are written in order, and each episode’s writer reads the previous script plus summaries of the older episodes, so names, facts, and running threads carry through the series.
Do microcasts work on Spotify and Apple Podcasts?
