Managing Hosts
Edit, delete, share, and organize your AI hosts from the Hosts page.
The Hosts Page#
Click Hosts in the sidebar to see all your hosts in a table. Each row shows:
- Host avatar and name
- Voice type badge (Voice Clone, Guest Clone, or Voice Design) or a voice description
- Backstory preview
- Voice play button
- Creation date
- An actions menu (three-dot icon)
Click any host row to open their detail page.
Viewing Host Details#
The host detail page displays:
- Large avatar, name, and title
- Social links
- Voice section with a play button to preview their voice
- Backstory section with the full rich text content
- Personality Profile card (if personality has been set)
Editing a Host#
- Navigate to the host detail page.
- Click the actions dropdown (three-dot icon) in the top right.
- Select Edit Host.
This opens the host editor pre-filled with the host's current details. You can update any field: name, backstory, photo, sources, voice, or settings, then save.
You can also access Edit Host from the actions dropdown on the Hosts table.
Deleting a Host#
- Open the actions dropdown on the host detail page or the Hosts table.
- Select Delete Host (shown in red as a destructive action).
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog.
Deleting a host is permanent and cannot be undone.
Sharing a Host#
Every host can have a public persona page. To share:
- Click Share Host from the actions dropdown, or click the Share button on the host detail page.
- The share dialog displays:
- A Share Link that you can click to copy to your clipboard
- A Visibility selector with three options:
- Private: Host page is hidden; the share link is disabled
- Unlisted: Accessible only to people with the direct link
- Public: Discoverable by anyone
- Change visibility as needed. The update saves immediately.
Customize your host's alias in the host settings for a cleaner URL (e.g., /persona/maya-chen instead of /persona/abc123).
Visibility Settings#
You can set visibility during host creation (Step 7: Settings) or change it later from the share dialog. The three options are:
- Private: Default. The host has no public page.
- Unlisted: The host has a public page, but it is not listed in any directory. Only people with the link can view it.
- Public: The host's page is fully public and discoverable.
Frequently Asked Questions#
Can I share my AI host's profile with others?
Yes. Each host can have a public persona page. Set the host's visibility to Unlisted or Public in the share dialog, then share the link. You can customize the URL slug in the host settings.
What happens if I delete a host that is assigned to a podcast?
Deleting a host is permanent. Any podcasts or episodes that referenced the host will no longer have that host available for new episodes, though existing published episodes retain their audio.
