Video Templates
Jellypod offers five video templates that control how your episode looks as a video, from simple audiograms to AI-generated visual slides.
Choosing a Template#
Every episode has a built-in video editor. At the top of the preview panel, you will find two dropdown controls: Orientation and Template.
- Open an episode in the studio.
- Click the Template dropdown in the toolbar above the video preview.
- Select one of the five templates. A checkmark indicates the currently active template.
The preview updates immediately so you can see how each template looks with your content.
The Five Templates#
Classic Audiogram#
A clean, minimal audiogram with a waveform visualization synced to your audio and your podcast cover art. Best for a simple, recognizable podcast look.
Classic Captions#
A captions-focused template with clean typography over a styled background. Great for accessibility and for viewers watching on mute.
Spotlight#
Highlights key words as they are spoken with dynamic, streaming-style caption emphasis. A modern look that draws attention to the content.
Karaoke#
Large, centered captions with karaoke-style word highlighting. Bold and impossible to miss. Captions take center stage.
Magic Video#
The most powerful template. Instead of a static background, Jellypod's AI generates visual slides that match your episode content: stat callouts, timelines, comparisons, icon grids, images, bullet points, quotes, and title cards. The AI reads your script and selects the right slide type for each section automatically.
When Magic Video is active, a slide toolbar appears below the orientation bar with additional controls for managing slides. See the Magic Video Slides article for details.
Try the same episode with all five templates to see which style fits your brand. The preview updates instantly with no rendering required to compare.
Frequently Asked Questions#
Does switching templates affect my audio or script?
No. Templates only control the visual presentation of your video. Your audio, script, and all other content remain unchanged.
Which template is best for social media?
For short-form social media content, Spotlight and Karaoke work well because they emphasize captions. For a more polished, presentation-style video, try Magic Video.
