Add up to Four Podcast Hosts

We're thrilled to announce one of our most heavily requested features, increasing the number of hosts in your podcast from two to four.

You can now add up to four hosts to your podcast on Jellypod! Whether you're looking to host a lively three-person conversation or a dynamic four-person roundtable, you can now do it.

Adding More Hosts

Choosing hosts for your podcast is the exact same as before, but now you can select up to four. To edit your podcast to include more hosts, go to your podcast's page, click on "Edit Podcast" and then add three or four hosts.

If you already have a draft episode that's yet to be published, if you regenerate your script, it will now include the new hosts.

Here's a few ways users are already leveraging the new feature:

  • Diverse Perspectives: More hosts mean more viewpoints, making your podcast more engaging, lively, and conversational.
  • Broader Audience Appeal: Attract listeners who appreciate content in their native accent. By adding more hosts, you can create a show that covers more ground.

We can't wait to hear the incredible conversations you'll create with this new feature. Give it a try today!

Import Podcast Scripts

We recently added the ability to export Jellypod scripts so you can make edits outside of Jellypod and re-import the script for audio generation. Check it out here: https://www.jellypod.com/product-updates/export-transcripts

Many of you come to Jellypod with an existing script, one that you've already spent time editing, reviewing, and perfecting, but just need to convert it into audio.

With our new import script feature, all Jellypod users can upload existing scripts created off-platform and import them as an episode word-for-word.

You can upload plain text (.txt, .md), Word documents (.docx, .doc), .rtf, .pages, and PDF files, or paste your script directly. This makes it extremely easy to take a script that you've been working on in a platform like ChatGPT, Google Docs, or Microsoft Word, and easily move it over to Jellypod when you're ready to generate audio.

For best results, create a plain text file where the speaker/host name is in brackets, like this: [John Doe], and their speech on a new line directly after the speaker header. Repeat this for each consecutive block for best import results.

Jellypod will intelligently match speakers in your imported script to the hosts in your podcast - it's seamless.

Once imported, audio generation starts automatically, so you can tweak and edit your script before publishing and distributing it to the world.

Duplicate Existing Podcast Episodes

All users can now easily duplicate existing episodes into new podcast episodes. Just click on the "..." ellipsis button on the episode, and then click "Duplicate Episode".

We've heard from dozens of users who needed a way to copy an existing episode into a new one, keeping the same title, description, transcript, etc. This was often to test multiple variations of the episode, or to translate content verbatim.

Previously, users were hacking this together by creating a new episode, copying and pasting the outline, title, script, etc. This was both error-prone and prohibitively time-consuming.

So we're extremely excited to announce that starting today, you can quickly copy an existing episode (including published episodes) and duplicate it into a new draft episode. The title, description, episode image, and transcript will be copied over so you can quickly make necessary tweaks and then generate the audio for the new episode.

Duplicating an episode does not copy over the previously generated audio, and you'll have to regenerate the new episode as if you created it from scratch.

Improving Transcript Generation Speed and Accuracy

Waiting for 30, 60+ seconds for your podcast's transcript to generate is now a thing of the past.

We re-architected our transcript generation system so that your transcripts are generated faster, with higher accuracy, and streamed into your editor in real time.

These improvements allow you to watch your transcript appear line by line, right in the editor, allowing you to start reviewing your podcast script before it's complete.

In addition, we've improved our models and prompts, giving you a more accurate and natural-sounding transcript grounded in the source information and host backstories that you've created.

A lot of engineering behind the scenes went to work to ensure the improved experience feels a little bit more magical. Paired with the recent changes in our transcript editor UI, we hope that these improvements allow you to more easily bring to life your ideas in a familiar and easy-to-use interface.

If you want to learn more about the technical details of what went into these improvements, follow our CEO, Pierson Marks, on X.

Reimagining the Episode Editor

We believe that creation is a process for everyone. But make that possible, we have to design an interface that give creators both enough room to work and focus on their ideas.

Today, we ripped out our previously cluttered interface in favor of a more simple, unified UI – reimagined from the ground up. A new toolbar gives creators a more familiar way to make adjustments to their episodes, and lays a foundation to continuously add new features. The outline has been separated from the transcript editor, giving more screen real estate to focus on refining your podcasts.

Here's a list of what else is new:

  • Your episode's video now takes center stage and stays in view while scrolling your transcript.
  • Each speech block now has a button to scrub your podcast directly to that block, making it easier to make adjustments and listen to the changes.
  • We've made it easier to regenerate your script and outline from the toolbar.
  • Other minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

It's important to us to create an editing interface that allows you to focus on your content rather than the workflow. We encourage you to try out the new episode editor now and experience the improvements.

New Audiogram Video Templates

Your podcast now looks better—and reads better, too.

Jellypod now lets you choose from a library of audiogram video templates, complete with built-in captions. Whether you're posting to YouTube, Instagram, or your custom Jellypod page, your episode can now look exactly the way you want.

Here's What's New

Switch up the vibe with templates like:

  • Classic Captions: easy-to-read subtitles baked into the video
  • Spotlight: puts focus on the speaker with a minimalist frame
  • Karaoke: word-by-word highlights that match your audio
  • Classic Audiogram: the waveform-driven template you already know and love

Choose Your Format

Need a landscape version for YouTube? A portrait video for TikTok? A square one for Facebook? Just click “Video Settings” in the editor and pick what fits your platform.

And captions too? Instead of scrolling to the transcript, listeners can now read along right in the video. Better for engagement, better for accessibility.

Your podcast deserves to look as good as it sounds. Whether you're sharing your episode or embedding the video it on your site, having more template customizability allows your podcast to stand out.

Try it out next time you finish an episode. Just click "Video Settings" in the top right and make it your own.
