Claude Motion is Anthropic's tool for turning reports, charts, and product walkthroughs into short animated explainers inside Claude. It launched in beta on October 8, 2026, alongside Claude Dashboards, on Claude Team and Enterprise plans.

Claude writes each animation as code, so you can edit any word, number, or timing, then download an MP4 or open it in another editor.

Key takeaways

  • Claude Motion builds short, code-based animated explainers from a prompt, then exports an MP4.
  • It is in beta on Claude Team and Enterprise only. Enterprise admins turn it on under Organization settings, Artifacts.
  • Jellypod is not a Claude Motion partner. You can still make Jellypod videos and podcasts from Claude through the MCP connector.

What is Claude Motion?

Claude Motion turns an idea or a piece of your work into a short animation that plays like a video. Anthropic's examples are a 30-second explainer of a quarterly report for an all-hands, a moving chart for a board deck, and a product walkthrough for customer onboarding.

Claude writes code that animates your text, charts, shapes, and images. Anthropic says it uses no video generation model, so you get no generated footage and no AI-generated people.

The @claudeai launch post puts it simply: change any word, number, or timing, then export an MP4.

How does Claude Motion work?

The flow is short:

  1. Open Claude on a Team or Enterprise plan where Motion is turned on.
  2. Describe the animation in plain language, using the report, chart, or notes it should explain.
  3. Watch the preview, then adjust it in the editor or ask Claude for changes.
  4. Download an MP4, or open it in another tool for more polish.

Anthropic names Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Higgsfield, invideo, Luma AI, and Runway as tools you can open a Motion piece in, with Canva and Captions coming soon.

On Enterprise, Motion is off by default. Admins turn it on in Organization settings under Artifacts.

Where Jellypod fits

Jellypod is for a podcast, illustrated explainer, Short, or microdrama you can change before anyone sees it. Claude Motion is for one short, code-based clip from work already in Claude.

Jellypod is not a Claude Motion partner. The MCP connector is a separate path: add https://mcp.jellypod.com/mcp, sign in, and ask for a podcast, video, or Short. Drafts stay unpublished until you say so.

Frequently asked questions

Who can use Claude Motion right now?

Anyone on a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, in beta. Anthropic's announcement lists no other plans, and Enterprise admins have to turn Motion on first.

Can I use Claude Motion with Jellypod?

Jellypod is not one of Claude Motion's export partners. You can make Jellypod podcasts, videos, and Shorts from Claude through the MCP connector, which works separately from Motion.

Are there Claude Motion alternatives?

Yes. Claude Motion alternatives covers tools you can use without a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, starting with Jellypod for episodic illustrated shows.
