Managing Videos
Track, edit, share, download, and delete your Videos from the Videos Library and workspace.
The Videos Library
Navigate to Videos in the studio sidebar to see your Videos Library, a grid sorted by most recently updated. Each card shows the Video's title and when it was last edited. The library shows 10 Videos per page; use Previous and Next below the grid to page through the rest.
The library shows every Video in your workspace, 10 per page; there's currently no search box or style filter on this page.
While a Video is still generating, its card isn't clickable and shows a status label instead:
- Generating: Jellypod hasn't produced a playable render yet.
- Preparing: the script, visuals, and music are done and a render is in progress.
- Updating: you can already open the Video (it has a playable render), but a background job, like a narration or visual regeneration, is still running.
- Needs attention: generation failed. Click Retry generation on the card. It continues from where the generation stopped, and pays only for what it still has to produce. See When a Video, Short, or Voiceover Fails.
Once a Video has a playable render, click its card to open its full editable workspace.
Card Actions
Every card has a Download button and a ••• menu, whatever stage the Video is at:
- Download downloads the latest saved version without opening the workspace. If the current render matches your latest edits, the download starts immediately. If the render is missing or out of date, Jellypod renders the latest version first and downloads it automatically when it's ready. Download stays disabled while generation or regeneration prevents a render from starting.
- Edit opens the same workspace as clicking the card; disabled until the Video can be opened.
- Rename changes the Video's title from a dialog, up to 120 characters.
- Delete permanently removes the Video, its renders, and any AI-generated media created for it, whether the Video is still generating, finished, or failed. This can't be undone.
The Video Workspace
Opening a Video shows the shared editable workspace: a rail of visuals above a continuous, paragraph-by-paragraph narration editor, with Host, watermark, captions, and pronunciation controls. See Edit Narration and Visuals for the complete shared workflow. It covers:
- Regenerating one narration paragraph or every stale paragraph at once, at 1 credit per second regenerated
- Regenerating an individual shot's visual for 7 credits, or dragging in your own image or video
- Changing the Host on one paragraph, or swapping two Hosts across the script, which marks the affected narration for regeneration at 1 credit per second regenerated
- Adding your own background music from the music control, since a Video is generated without a score
- Adding, changing, or removing a watermark/logo (Creator plan and above)
- Choosing a word-synced caption style, or turning captions off, from the Captions button
Because a Video can run up to 20 minutes, expect proportionally more narration paragraphs and shots to review than in a Short.
There's no full regeneration option for a completed Video, and no delete option within the workspace itself. To delete a Video, use the ••• menu on its card in the Videos Library. If you want a wholly different creative result, delete it there and create a new Video instead of reworking the existing one: the new Video is charged in full for its narration and visuals, and the deletion cannot be undone.
Sharing and Downloading
From the Video's page, use:
- Share: opens a dialog with the Video's public share link. If the narration is out of date or no render exists yet, the same dialog has a Render Video (or Re-render Latest Version) button to produce one; re-rendering pushes your latest edits to the same shared link.
- Download: downloads a file of your latest edits. If the current render already matches them, it downloads right away. Otherwise, clicking Download renders your latest edits first, the button reads Rendering... while it waits, and the file downloads automatically once the render finishes.
If the Video needs regeneration, for example while narration is stale, Download is disabled and explains why; regenerate the Video before downloading.
If you keep editing the Video while Download is rendering, the finished render no longer matches your latest edits. Download shows an info notice instead of failing; click Download again to render and download your latest changes.
You can run the same download flow from the Video's card in the Videos Library. See Card Actions above.
Right after a render finishes, the file can take a few more minutes to finish packaging. Downloading in that window shows a "Still preparing" notice instead of the file; try again shortly.
Rendering or re-rendering a Video is free. Credits are only used when narration or visuals are generated; see Understanding Credits.
The public share page plays your Video framed at the orientation it was rendered in: Portrait Videos fill the screen, while Landscape and Square Videos are centered and letterboxed on a black background instead of being stretched into a vertical frame. An always-visible "Made with Jellypod" mark links visitors to jellypod.com, alongside a desktop-only Jellypod logo in the corner. Viewers can tap to pause or resume, toggle sound, and drag or tap the bottom scrubber to jump to any point; when playback ends, an end screen invites them to try Jellypod or replay it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if a Video fails to generate?
Its card in the Videos Library shows Needs attention and a Retry generation button. A retry continues from where the generation stopped and pays only for what it still has to produce, which is nothing at all when the visuals are already built. If a retry fails twice, contact support instead of deleting the Video and creating a new one.
Can I change a Video's aspect ratio after generating?
Not after generation starts. Create a new Video to use a different orientation.
Can I search or filter my Videos Library?
Not currently. The library lists every Video in your workspace, sorted by most recently updated, 10 per page, with no search box or style filter.
Can I delete a Video after it finishes generating?
Yes. Open the ••• menu on its card in the Videos Library and choose Delete. This works at any stage, generating, finished, or failed, and permanently removes the Video along with its renders and generated media.
Can I rename a Video?
Yes. Open the ••• menu on its card in the Videos Library and choose Rename to give it a new title, up to 120 characters.
Can I download a Video without opening it?
Yes. Click Download on its card in the Videos Library. Jellypod downloads a current render immediately, or renders your latest saved version first and downloads it when it's ready.
Do I need to render a Video separately before downloading it?
No. If the current render doesn't reflect your latest edits, clicking Download in the workspace or Videos Library renders them first, then downloads the file automatically. To update the public share link instead, open Share and click Re-render Latest Version.
The Download button says "Rendering..." and doesn't finish. What happened?
It depends on why. If you kept editing the Video while it rendered, the finished render is just behind your latest edits: Download shows an info notice, not an error, and clicking Download again renders and downloads your latest changes. If the render genuinely fails or takes too long, Download shows an error toast asking you to try again. Either way, no credits are charged; click Download again to start a new render.
Can I change or turn off captions on a Video after generating it?
Yes. Open the Video's workspace and click Captions. Choose a different caption style or turn captions off for both the preview and final render.
I downloaded right after rendering and got a "Still preparing" notice instead of my file. What happened?
The render finished, but the downloadable file was still being packaged, which can take a few minutes. This isn't a failure and no credits are charged; try the download again shortly.
