Understanding Credits

Learn what costs credits, what you can do for free, and how to track and top up your balance.

How Credits Work

Credits are how Jellypod meters AI generation. Every subscription includes a monthly allocation that refreshes each billing cycle, and you can purchase more at any time.

What Costs Credits

  • Publishing or downloading episodes: 60 credits per minute of audio
  • Rendering clips: 60 credits per minute of clip duration
  • Image generation: 5 credits per image
  • Written content: 1 credit per 100 characters

What's Free

For podcast episodes, everything up to publishing is free: drafting, editing, regenerating scripts, generating audio, and chatting with the Content Agent. Credits are only consumed when you publish or download an episode, or when you render a clip. Images and documents cost credits when generated.

Checking Your Balance

Your credit balance is visible in the sidebar account menu (click your avatar in the bottom-left) and in Account Settings > Usage & Billing for a detailed breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do unused credits roll over to the next month?

Yes. Unused credits roll over and don't expire. Your monthly allocation is added to your existing balance each billing cycle.

How much does it cost to publish a 10-minute episode?

Publishing costs 60 credits per minute, so a 10-minute episode would consume 600 credits. All editing and audio generation before publishing is free.
