Create a Magic Video from a prompt, source or script

Magic Video turns a prompt, source or finished script into a narrated video with AI-generated visuals. Each finished project is a video, so it appears in the Videos collection in Studio. To compare it with Shorts and Voiceovers, see choosing a video Product.

Create a Magic Video

1. Open Home or Videos in the Studio sidebar. On Home, switch the composer to Video mode. The Videos page already shows the video controls.
2. Give Jellypod a starting point: type a prompt, attach a source (a file, link or pasted text) with the sources button, or click Upload Script to paste or attach finished narration. If you attach a source and leave the prompt empty, Jellypod makes a video that summarizes the source.
3. Pick one to four characters as hosts, in the order you want them cast. With more than one, Jellypod writes a conversational script that gives each paragraph a host.
4. Pick a visual style from the style rail below the prompt.
5. Set the length, orientation, language, watermark and brand options in the composer; see creation settings for length presets and defaults.
6. Click Generate. Jellypod takes you to Videos to follow progress.

Use Upload Script only for finished narration: Jellypod keeps every spoken word in order and sets the length to Auto from the script. To have Jellypod summarize or rewrite a document, attach it as a source instead. Speaker labels and matching are covered in use your own script.

An unfinished prompt, sources and selections are saved in this browser and reload until you generate or start a new video.

What Jellypod generates

• Narration in the voice of each chosen character, written to your prompt or source.
• Animated visuals in your chosen style, generated shot by shot to match the narration.
• Transitions between some shots, only where they help. Most shot boundaries stay a clean cut, and you can edit or remove any transition in the editor.
• Word-synced captions, following the default of the selected style. Change or turn off captions once the editor opens.

There is no background music at creation. Add your own from the music control in the editor.

Generation runs in the background, and longer videos take longer. If some narration could not be voiced, the visuals and successful audio stay available to edit while you repair the missing paragraphs.

Credit cost

Narration costs 30 credits per minute. Each generated image costs 7 credits and each generated video clip costs 20. Rendering and re-rendering are free. Credits are held when you click Generate and settle to what was produced. The estimated ceiling shows next to Generate once your prompt is ready, and it follows the style you pick, since some styles draw only images. For rates and holds, see how credits are consumed.
