Narration now costs 30 credits per minute of audio, down from 60. Your plan's monthly credits did not change, so each one buys twice as much finished audio.
A 10-minute episode used to cost 600 credits. It now costs 300. Starter's 5,000 monthly credits buy about 166 minutes of audio instead of 83, Creator's 11,000 buy 366 instead of 183, and Business's 30,000 buy 1,000 instead of 500.
The rate is live for everything you generate from here: Podcast Episodes, Shorts, Magic Videos, Voiceovers, and anything you generate through the API or the MCP connector. There is nothing to switch on.
What did not change
Images still cost 7 credits each and video clips 20, so a 30 second Short with 7 shots now lands between 64 and 155 credits, down from 79 to 170.
Everything that was free stays free: drafting and rewriting scripts, auditioning voices, regenerating narration you already have, rendering, publishing, scheduling, and downloading. Credits are spent only when Jellypod generates something new, and unused monthly credits still roll over for one additional month.
We could cut the rate because speech synthesis got cheaper. The newer models we are adding to the voice catalog cost us less per minute of audio than the ones we set the original rate against, so we put the difference into the price.
