Custom domain and subdomain settings for your podcast
Connect your own domain (Business and Enterprise plans), verify it, remove it, or change your yourshow.jellypod.com subdomain.
Every podcast gets a free yourshow.jellypod.com subdomain when you create it, derived from your title. This page covers changing it or connecting your own domain to your podcast website. For the wider picture, see Publishing and Distribution.
Requirements
Custom domains are available on Business and Enterprise (see plan limits). On other plans, a Pro badge appears on the Custom domain field, and saving prompts you to upgrade.
Connect a custom domain
- Open your podcast, click Share Podcast, then click Edit Domain next to Podcast Link.
- Enter your domain in Custom domain, for example
podcast.yourcompany.comoryourcompany.com. Leave outhttp://,https://andwww.; the field rejects them. - Click Save Domain. A "Custom domain added" message tells you to configure your DNS records.
- At your domain registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare and so on), add the DNS records below, then reopen Edit Domain and follow the status under your domain. It refreshes about every 10 seconds until the domain is valid.
DNS records
- A record: name blank (or
@), value76.76.21.21, TTL 86400. Use this for an apex domain such asyourcompany.com. - CNAME record: name
www(or your subdomain prefix, such aspodcast), valuecname.jellypod.com., TTL 86400. Use this for a subdomain or thewww.version.
If you enter an apex domain (yourcompany.com), Jellypod also registers the www. version and redirects it to the apex. A subdomain such as podcast.yourcompany.com registers only itself.
Domain status
| Status | What to do |

| Valid Configuration | Done. "Domain verified successfully," and it can take a few minutes to fully propagate. |
| Pending Verification | Wait. Verification is still running. |
| Invalid Configuration | Check that your records match exactly and no conflicting DNS records exist, then wait for propagation (up to 48 hours). |
| Domain Not Found | Check the spelling, confirm the domain is registered, and wait for propagation (up to 48 hours). |
| Unknown Error | Recheck your DNS records and that the domain is registered, wait a few minutes and try again, then contact support if it persists. |
| Domain already in use | The domain is connected elsewhere. Contact support to get it set up. |
If saving fails with "This domain is already in use" or "Could not register this domain," contact support.

What changes once it is live
- Visitors to your
yourshow.jellypod.comwebsite are redirected to your custom domain, and your RSS feed URL shown in Jellypod switches to it. The/rssfeed keeps answering on both hosts. - Your podcast QR code follows the domain.
Remove a custom domain
Open Edit Domain, click the trash icon next to your domain, then confirm Remove domain. Your podcast is no longer reachable at that address, and you can add a custom domain back at any time.
Changing Your Subdomain
In Edit Domain, type a new name in Subdomain. Jellypod checks availability as you type, and Save Domain works only once the name shows as available ("This subdomain is already taken" means pick another). Confirm Change subdomain in the "Change your subdomain?" prompt.
The old subdomain is not redirected. Its website returns a not found page, and its RSS feed stops working (podcast apps are told the feed is gone). Update the feed URL in each podcast app and directory; see RSS feed not updating if a platform keeps the old one.
