Submit your podcast to Spotify, Apple and YouTube

Submit your podcast's RSS feed to each platform once. After approval, every episode you publish reaches that platform through the feed. For the wider picture, see Publishing and Distribution.

Before you start

• Your plan must include distribution: Starter, Creator, Business and Enterprise. Not Educator. On other plans, clicking a platform badge opens an upgrade prompt.
• The podcast must be Public, because platforms read your feed without signing in. If it is Private or Unlisted, the dialog shows a Make podcast public button. See Podcast Visibility.
• Publish at least one episode first.
• You need an account with the platform you are submitting to.

To start, open your podcast in the Studio and click the Spotify, Apple Podcasts or YouTube badge below the podcast header. The Distribute on dialog lists the steps and has a copy field for your feed URL. You can also find the URL as described in Your RSS Feed.

Approval usually takes a few hours. Once approved, paste your podcast's URL on that platform into the Save your (platform) podcast link field in the same dialog and click Save link, so listeners can find it on your Jellypod website. If episodes are missing later, see RSS feed not updating.

Spotify

1. Go to Spotify for Podcasters and sign in.
2. If there is no place to submit an RSS feed, click the upper-right icon and choose Add a new show.
3. Click Find an existing show.
4. Paste your RSS feed URL.
5. Review the podcast information and submit for approval.
6. Spotify sends a verification email to confirm you own the podcast. Jellypod forwards it to you (see Verification email).

Apple Podcasts

1. Go to Apple Podcasts for Creators at podcasters.apple.com and sign in with your Apple account. The Jellypod dialog links to the same tool under its older name, Apple Podcasts Connect.
2. Click the plus (+) icon in the upper-right corner and choose New Show.
3. Choose Add a show with an RSS feed.
4. Paste your RSS feed URL.
5. Review the podcast information and save for approval.

If approval takes longer than expected, check that the podcast has a published episode and that its cover art is square, between 1400x1400 and 3000x3000 pixels (Apple's requirement).

Apple requires disclosure of AI-generated content in the content and metadata of each show and episode, and you are responsible for making it. See AI disclosure.

YouTube

You need a YouTube or Google account with access to YouTube Studio.

1. Go to YouTube Studio and sign in.
2. Click Create in the top-right corner and choose New Podcast.
3. Click Submit RSS feed.
4. Paste your RSS feed URL.
5. Follow YouTube's ownership steps and click Send Code. Jellypod forwards the verification email to you.
6. Copy the code from that email and paste it into YouTube.

Your feed delivers audio and cover art only, so YouTube shows your cover art as a still image and does not receive video through RSS. To put video episodes on YouTube, download the video and upload it to YouTube yourself.

Verification email

Every podcast has its own forwarding email address, embedded in its RSS feed. Platforms send verification codes there, and Jellypod forwards them to your account email, so your real address is never shared with the platform.

Only known senders are forwarded: Spotify, Apple, YouTube and other major podcast platforms. Email from other senders is blocked.

If an expected email does not arrive, check your spam folder. Then contact support and name the sender you are waiting for so the team can add it. Open Help & Support in the Studio sidebar to chat with the team, or email support@jellypod.com.
