Import an ElevenLabs Professional Voice Clone

You can bring a Professional Voice Clone (PVC) from your own ElevenLabs account into Jellypod. The import creates a character with that voice, ready to use in episodes. See Characters and Voices for everything else you can do with characters.

Before you start

• The voice must be a Professional Voice Clone. Instant Voice Clones (IVCs) cannot be imported. To clone from samples instead, see voice cloning.
• Voice Sharing must be turned on for the PVC in ElevenLabs.

Import the voice

1. In ElevenLabs, find your PVC under My Voices, click the Share icon, and turn on Voice Sharing. Copy the share URL.
2. In Jellypod, open Settings, find the Import PVC from ElevenLabs card, and click Import ElevenLabs Voice.
3. Paste the URL into ElevenLabs Share URL.
4. Optionally enter a Name. If you leave it blank, the character uses your account name.
5. Choose the Dominant language, the language the voice sounds most native in (defaults to English). See what Dominant language does.
6. Enter a Backstory describing who the character is and how they speak. It is required.
7. Click Create Character from PVC.

On success, a toast reads "Voice imported successfully" and the character appears under Characters and Voices. To change its details, see managing characters.

Limits and errors

An imported voice counts against both your plan's voice clone limit and its character limit, so the import fails if either is full. Free up a slot or upgrade your plan.

The form flags an invalid URL or an empty Backstory. Any other failure shows a Failed to import voice toast, and no character is created. Check that Voice Sharing is still on and the URL is complete, then try again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import an Instant Voice Clone from ElevenLabs?

No. Only Professional Voice Clones can be imported. Create a new clone directly in Jellypod from samples instead.
