Download an episode as video (MP4) or audio (MP3)
Download an episode as MP4 video or MP3 audio from the editor, episode page or episodes table, fix "Can't create a new render yet", and find past renders.
Download an episode as an MP4 video (your template and aspect ratio, with all visuals) or an MP3 audio file. Downloads and renders cost no credits: credits are charged when narration and visuals are generated (see Understanding Credits). Downloading an existing render is available on Free. Creating a new render requires an eligible trial or active plan. For SRT captions and the script, see Downloading Transcripts and Captions. This page is part of Podcasts and Episodes.

Publishing first puts the episode in your feed before you distribute the file elsewhere: see Publishing an Episode. To choose the video's look, see Video Templates.
Download from the editor
- Open the episode and click Download. The dialog always opens, even when a new render isn't possible yet.
- On Create New, pick Download Audio (selected by default) or Download Video, then click the button. Voiceovers offer video only.
- A progress bar shows Regenerating audio..., Rendering audio... or Rendering video....
The script and timeline editors are disabled while a download runs because the render reads from them, and editing resumes when the download finishes.
Previous Renders stays available while you finish edits. A saved render does not include edits made after it was rendered.
Choose which audio to render
If your narration no longer matches the latest script, voice choices, or pronunciations, clicking the download button opens Choose which audio to render:
- Regenerate Audio & Render updates the narration first, then renders.
- Render With Existing Audio downloads now with the saved audio and matching captions.
Your script edits stay saved either way, and you're asked again the next time you download.
Download messages
- Can't create a new render yet: shown on Create New with a reason, usually because a line needs audio or another render is running. Follow the reason and try again. You can still download from Previous Renders.
- Downloaded an earlier version: you edited the episode while the render ran, so those edits aren't in the file. Download again to include them.
- File still being prepared: the render finished, but the file can take a few minutes to become available. It appears under Previous Renders shortly, and nothing is broken.
- Failed to download audio / video: if the render itself completed, the message points you to Previous Renders to download it there.
Exports tab
Go to Settings in the Studio sidebar and open Exports (next to Usage & Billing). It lists your renders, most recent first, and is visible to every role. Each row has:
- Title: the episode, short or video title. Untitled Export appears when a render has no title.
- Type: Episode, Video or Clip. Shorts and standalone videos both list as Video, so check the title. Clips are retired and replaced by shorts, so Clip rows are older renders and no new ones are created.
- Status: a Rendering or Failed badge on renders that are in progress or failed. Finished renders show no badge.
- Date: when the render was created.
A render is added to this list when you publish an Episode or request a render through Download or Share. Creating or editing an Episode, Short or Video does not add a render. Each row's menu offers Download Video and Download Audio when those files are available (audio needs a plan that includes it). The list shows up to 100 recent renders.
