Downloading Video and Audio

Download your episode as a video file, audio file, or SRT caption file for use on any platform.

Downloading from the Episode Editor

The Download button is available in the episode toolbar for both draft and published episodes.

  1. Open an episode in the studio.
  2. Click the Download button in the toolbar.
  3. In the download dialog, choose your settings and click Download Video or Download Audio-Only.

Download Dialog Options

The download dialog includes the following settings:

  • Video Quality — Select the output resolution. Currently supports 1080p HD.
  • Download Video — Downloads the episode as an MP4 video file with your chosen template, aspect ratio, and all visual assets.
  • Download Audio-Only — Downloads the episode audio as an MP3 file, perfect for podcast distribution. This option requires the audio download entitlement based on your subscription plan (marked with a Pro badge).
  • Hide Watermark — Toggle to remove the Jellypod watermark from your download. Requires a Pro plan (marked with a Pro badge).

A progress bar appears inside the dialog showing the current rendering status. You cannot close the dialog while a download is in progress.

Downloading from the Episodes Table

For published episodes, you can also download directly from the episodes table:

  1. Navigate to your podcast's episode list.
  2. Click the three-dot menu on any episode.
  3. Select Download Video, Download Audio, or Download Captions (SRT) — these options only appear when the corresponding asset has been generated.

SRT Caption Download

Every published episode includes auto-generated captions that you can download as an SRT file.

  1. Navigate to a published episode page.
  2. Click the captions button (a circular icon button with a captions symbol).
  3. The SRT file downloads with the episode title as the filename.

SRT is the standard subtitle format accepted by YouTube, social media platforms, and most video editors. Upload it alongside your video for accessibility and to capture viewers watching on mute.
