Free Educator plan: who qualifies and how to get it
Jellypod's free Educator plan gives verified educators six months and 3,000 monthly credits. Who qualifies, which email domains are accepted and what happens next.
Teachers and faculty get six free months of the Educator plan, with 3,000 credits each month. This page covers eligibility and how the plan is granted. For other plans, see Account and Billing.
How to get it
Pick Educator / Faculty as your role during sign-up. With an eligible school email, click Activate free education plan and the plan starts immediately, with no credit card. The plan is not offered on the pricing page or in subscription settings, and it is a one-time offer per organization.

If you do not qualify, choose Skip and continue to explore Studio for free. When ready to create, choose a plan or start the 7-day free trial if you are trial-eligible (see free trial).
What screening does
Institutional domains that are not obviously academic are screened automatically:
- Declined immediately: a clear business, a for-profit company that sells education (test prep, tutoring, bootcamps, ed-tech vendors), or a public body that is not a school (a health authority or hospital, a council, a ministry or agency, police, a public library or museum). No manual review follows.
- Held for review: a domain that cannot be identified either way. You can explore Studio for free while you wait, or start an eligible trial or subscription to create right away. Once support confirms your school, your organization is switched to the Educator plan.

What is included
Educator has the Starter plan's limits but with 3,000 monthly credits instead of 5,000. Credit top-ups are available. How credits work.
Educator does not include:
- Distribution to Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube, which is available on Starter, Creator, Business and Enterprise.
- API access and API keys.
- Custom watermarks and logos.
- Removal of Jellypod branding.
- Custom domains.
Upgrading during your Educator offer
Upgrade to a paid plan at any time and keep your 3,000 free Educator credits each month alongside the paid plan's credits for the rest of your Educator offer. For example, Starter includes 5,000 monthly credits, so you receive 8,000 credits per month while both are active.
Upgrading does not extend the Educator offer or change when its credits renew. Once the offer ends, you continue receiving your paid plan's credits.
When the six months end
The plan expires six months after activation. If you have already upgraded, your paid plan continues. Otherwise, to keep creating and publishing, the organization then needs a subscription: see managing your subscription. Organizations that activated under the earlier term keep the expiry date they were given.
