Archive or unarchive a podcast
Hide a podcast from your active list without touching its website, feed or episodes, then find and unarchive it, with the Podcasts list filters and sort.
Archiving hides a podcast in the Studio while everything public stays live. Use it for a show you are pausing. For the rest of the podcast tools, see Podcasts and Episodes.
Archive a podcast
- Open the podcast and click the actions menu (three-dot icon).
- Select Archive Podcast.
- Confirm Archive Podcast in the Archive this podcast? dialog.
Jellypod returns you to the Podcasts list, where the podcast is now hidden. When you reopen it, its header shows an Archived badge in place of the visibility badge, and a This podcast is archived notice replaces the episode composer.
What stays and what changes
Archiving never changes Visibility, so the podcast's website, RSS feed and share links keep working, and published episodes stay published. Directory listings (Spotify, Apple Podcasts and so on) keep serving the podcast until you delete it. See podcast visibility to change what is public.
Existing automations that target the podcast keep running on schedule, including inbound-email ones.
What changes in the Studio:
- The podcast leaves your active Podcasts list.
- It no longer appears in the podcast picker when you create an episode or a new automation.
- The episode composer is replaced by the archived notice. Upload Audio stays in the actions menu, see uploading your own episode.
Unarchive a podcast
Open the archived podcast and click Unarchive Podcast, either in the archived notice or in the actions menu. You stay on the podcast page, the episode composer returns, and the podcast is back in your active list. No content or settings are lost.
Find an archived podcast
Click the filter icon at the top of the Podcasts page. Under Status, choose:
- Active: the default, hides archived podcasts.
- Archived: shows only archived podcasts.
- All: shows every podcast.
Sort by offers Episode Count (default, most episodes first), Recent episodes (newest episode first, podcasts with none last) and Alphabetical (by title, ignoring case). Your choices are saved in the page URL, so they survive a refresh, and a plain link to Podcasts opens the defaults.
Archive is not delete
Archiving is reversible. Delete Podcast in the same actions menu permanently deletes the podcast and all of its episodes, and cannot be undone. To remove a single episode instead, see managing episodes.
