Upload your own audio or video episode

Recorded an episode elsewhere? Upload the file to publish it through Jellypod hosting, without AI generation. It works from any podcast in Podcasts and Episodes. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, see content ownership and rights.

Upload an episode

1. Open Podcasts in the sidebar and select your podcast.
2. Click the more options (...) button next to Edit Website, then choose Upload Audio.
3. Drop your file into the dialog, or click Browse Files. A progress bar shows the upload.
4. Enter an Episode Title (required), an Episode Description, and optionally cover art.
5. Click Publish Episode. The button stays disabled until the upload finishes.

Publishing happens when you click Publish Episode, and the episode goes live right away, with no draft step. It then appears on your podcast website and RSS feed, and on connected platforms like any other episode.

Formats and limits

• Formats: MP3, WAV, M4A (audio), MP4 and MOV (video).
• Size: up to 250 MB per file.
• Duration: Jellypod measures audio length before publishing. If it cannot, publishing fails with "Could not measure the uploaded audio duration." Try re-exporting the file.
• Free trial: an upload counts toward the trial episode limit.

What uploaded episodes lack

Uploaded episodes are published as-is, so they have no script and no timeline editor, and you cannot change the audio or video file. You can still edit the title, description and cover art after publishing. They cannot be duplicated.

Which import option?

Choose Upload Audio when the recording is final. Choose the others when you want Jellypod's script editor and AI voices.

Troubleshooting

• "Invalid file type": the file must be audio or video. Convert to one of the formats above.
• Upload fails or the file is rejected: check it is 250 MB or smaller, then retry.
• "Unable to publish episode": try again. If it keeps failing, contact support. Open Help & Support in the Studio sidebar to chat with the team, or email support@jellypod.com.
